Go Green Week at London South Bank University

It is Go Green Week at London South Bank University.

This years problems seem to be loitering litter, both on campus and in the local area. Efforts around the university have been made to encourage people to use the provided recycling bins on campus. A range of events will be taking place this week to discuss problems such as littering and sustainable ways to manage this issue as well as others.

Kicking off this Go Green Week is an inspirational panel event taking place on Tuesday 6th at 1-4pm, free entry and everyone is welcome.

The event consists of activities to bring together students, recent alumni and entrepreneurs to share their experiences of developing businesses and social enterprises linked to the environment and sustainability. The event will include entrepreneurs who have already successfully started businesses in this area. You will hear about how they came up with their ideas, what they have done since and the challenges they have faced on the way. There will be a chance for you to ask questions and meet other students and staff interested in similar issues.

As well as many other events taking place this week to promote sustainability and recycling at LSBU.

LSBU is renowned for it’s efforts with the environment, winning multiple awards last year. Including being shortlisted as a finalist for the Green Gown Awards which recognise best practice for sustainability related activity across the University Sector and is organised by the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC).
