Craig David’s new single for Charity is not what we needed!

With sales soaring high last year with Jess Glynne’s ‘Take Me Home’, Craig David is the chosen artist to represent the 2016 Children In Need Single.

Rating: 1/5

Taken from his number one album ‘Following My Intuition’, we experience a new side to Craig David. His new track certainly isn’t a party pleaser, in fact it’s the complete opposite. ‘All We Needed’ is a slow ballad, allowing us to experience Davids vocal range.

However Craig David fails miserably at the attempt to represent The Children In Need Charity. Despite 50 pence being donated with every purchase of the track, the music video misses out key factors. Featuring an orchestra and the main focus of David himself, the music video lacks sympathy by failing to show footage of the children that the charity helps. It questions whether this is really a matter of helping  out The Children In Need Charity or a self promoting act for Craig David’s Profile.

Overall, this isn’t the best example of a single that is made to represent a charity. It was a good attempt by David to try something different, however, he should stick to what he knows and produce the music that makes him the success that he is.
