Design award for local Church.

Crossway United Reform Church has been shortlisted for the national church trusts presidents award. Crossway was demolished and rebuilt after the estate it’s on was delveloped by the council. The church which now sits just off the walworth road was desgined by Van Heyington opening in febuary 2017.

Northen Line breaks through at kennington.

On the 8th of november the boring machines which had been creating the new northern line extension broke through at kennington infront of a group of journalists and TFL officals. The new extension runs down to battersea and is due to open in 2020.

Tube Disruption for Elephant and Castle this weekend.

Elephant and Castle will have no Bakerloo line services on the 18th and 19th of november due to enginering works. Northern line services will be running as normal and no more works are due to effect elepahnt and castle before the end of this year.

A row of plastic igloos have popped up opposite the Southbank centre. They are run by Jimmys lodge who also have a bar open on the Southbank for the christmas period. The pods offer a range of set menus but With a £600 minimum spend it may not be for everyone.
