Social media indeed are a powerful tool. Borough and Bankside Police posted a tweet on their Twitter aiming to find relatives or friends of a man who is in hospital in a bad condition.

The tweet said: “We are trying to locate the family/next of kin for George (Georgios) Tsichritzis. George is currently in hospital and is very unwell. If you have any details, or are indeed family/next of kin please call 101 and quote CAD 4740 dated 03NOV18.” They posted it at 4:29 pm on 03/11/2018. The tweet was retweeted 240 times and it did not last long till his family was found. At around 9 pm the same day they tweeted: “GREAT NEWS! Family have contacted us 20 minutes ago, and are travelling to London now to see George. Thank you everyone, the power of social media always amazes! Fingers crossed for George´s health now.”

We should never underestimate the power of the social media. They definitely can help even in the toughest life situations.
