Manuel Pellegrini has received a massive injury boost ahead of next Fridays London clash at home against Fulham. Manuel Lanzini is set for a return to action after spending 8 months out of action, after suffering knee ligament damage while on international duty with Argentina, in the final preparation phases, in the build up to the World Cup. Lanzini was set to play a crucial role for the La Albiceleste (The white & sky-blues) in the summer, starting alongside Lionel Messi and also ousting Dybala from the starting XI. Theres no denying he was badly missed!
Lanzini’s return isn’t the only injury boost handed to Manuel Pellegrini, with Samir Nasri also returning after spending some weeks out with a calf injury. This adds another dynamic option for the Hammers, which with the inclusion of Lanzini and Nasri in the team, it could see a consistent attacking style of play.
A further boost has been handed to the boss, this time defensively. With the return of Fabián Balbuena, the Paraguayan was arguably the Hammers best defender this season. Forming a solid partnership with young, French centre back, Issa Diop. Since Balbuena has been out of the team, the backline has looked shakey with many fans hoping for a swift return. He is set to return alongside Nasri and Lanzini against Fulham next Friday.
