Cardiff City V.S West Ham United Post-Match Blog

I’m going to keep this post short, the team was unchanged from the home win against Newcastle. For me, although I believe in not changing a winning formula, changes needed to be made. For me, Antonio had to start over Snodgrass and Arnautovic starting ahead of Chicharito.

We went behind straight away, poor defending allowed Hoilett to slip in at the near post to put the home side in front.

We looked home sick, and were playing with very little confidence. We simply couldn’t get the ball down and play, Cardiff were on us like a rash and we simply couldn’t cope.

We had very little chances throughout the game, and we eventually went 2-0 down. A cushioned header from Murphy was put away at the far post by Camarasa.

We still looked awful, we couldn’t string two passes together and when we did it led to nothing. Players strolled around like they didn’t care. Arnautovic, Chicharito and Anderson in particular showed no effort what so ever.

In the end we got what we deserved. its another result lost against teams we should beat. And as I tweeted, “The complacency we see isn’t an anomaly. The complacency we see is consistent. The complacency we see isn’t a one off. The complacency we see on a consistent basis is disrespectful to the fans and to the opponents we play, and we pay the price for it. Disgusting #WHUFC”

The current team we have should comfortably be in 7th right now, but we are simply not. The complacency we see on a regular basis is disrespectful to us fans, and the manager seriously needs to be questioned on it. the claims of complacency are not coming from thin air, its come from Michail Antonio himself when he appeared on sky.

Next up is Huddersfield at home. Again its a game we should win, but knowing West Ham we will make it difficult for ourselves.
