What I learned as a journalist (Brexit VT)?

On Tuesday I went along with my VT team to cover parliament and get young peoples views on brexit.

The first thing I learned was that it takes a while to get a good variety of shots that will tie in well with your story. Also, you have to be patient, as you may have to stay longer to get what you require.

Secondly, there are many people with many different opinions and you may have to interview a few people to find someone who goes with your story.

Another thing I learned was that it doesn’t actually take too long to create a VT and if you are prepared before hand it makes it a lot easier.

Lastly, it was a struggle to get the correct lighting in such sunny weather but you have to practice and change angle to make it work.
