Former stage school student returns as principal
Talented former stage school student comes back to work as the new principal.
Former Stagecoach student Amanda-Jane Short relives her childhood by going back to her old performing arts school in Couldson to be the new Principal.
Amanda’s mother, Elaine Short, is ecstatic that her daughter has taken up this opportunity as Stagecoach Couldson was launched by her back in 2000. Amanda’s mother said “It’s so lovely to have Stagecoach Coulsdon back in the family. Amanda has been involved with the school, teachers and students since the very beginning, so it’s lovely that she’s now the school’s leading lady! It feels like the school has come full circle.”
Amanda has worked as an actress and a West End director, directing the West End musicals ‘Hotel S.A.L.I.G.I.A’ at Leicester Square Theatre and ‘Secrets’ at the Bridewell. With Amanda’s enthusiasm to performing arts she is very excited to share her love with performing to up and coming talent, she said, “I’m buzzing with excitement at the opportunity to build a strong, creative syllabus that will challenge the talented children of Coulsdon, whilst being fun, educational, stimulating and rewarding for them.”
Stagecoach Couldson is part of a 3,000 extra-curricular performing arts school which is known around the world and has educated famous faces such as Emma Watson, Tom Fletcher and Dani Harmer.
With over 3,000 teacher’s worldwide Amanda is about to be part of a journey that is considered life-changing for students as many students have taken their passion one step further to work in blockbuster films and they have starred in theatre productions.
