Information gathered by the Office of National Statistics demonstrates an increase in the amount of knife related crimes taking place in the last 4 years.

In response to the increasing level of murders, Cllr Gavin Edwards of Southwark council said “We are all concerned to hear of the increasing incidents involving the tragic loss of life. It is important that the council and local police learn to work together to implement a solution to this problem and work in cohesion with at-risk groups of people and communities to reduce this crime as much as possible.”
