My interview with Bedwell two weeks ago was a very interesting experience. First and foremost it was my first experience of a proper sit down interview.
It also gave me the opportunity to get to know an interesting man whose passion for music has become cultivated that it acts as a medium for him to express himself, and it also served as his profession.
A profession by which he both records and produces music not only for himself, but for others as well.
Bedwell was very accommodating and very open to answering the questions that I asked him. When I first met him it was great to learn how he began his music making process and the instruments and other technology used in the making process.
About music as a topic, Bedwell was very candid, he said that “music has been a part of me all my life, and it’s influenced me to do what I do today.” He also said that music allows him to “be creative” and how music allows to express himself in any way that he feels.
I went on to ask him where he draws his inspiration from, and he says that the majority of the time that he gets his inspiration from “life in general.” He also believes that experiences throughout his life have contributed as a source of inspiration for his music.
My final question was to ask which way does he want his music career to go and he said that “I just want my music to be heard, I wanna get as much of my music out there and produce for as many artists as possible.”
He does various styles of music and hopes that within the arena of music that he can produce for as many people and in his own words “secure his legacy.”
