SuRie to represent UK at Eurovision 2018

Former Les Miserables star SuRie will represent the UK at this years Eurovision Song Contest.

SuRie, real name Susanna Cork, will perform her song Storm in Lisbon at the Eurovision Song Contest after a vote cast by a panel of judges and the general public on BBC Two’s Eurovision: You Decide.

SuRie has featured on Eurovision before as a backing dancer for Belgium in 2015, and musical director for another Belgian entrant in 2017 but will take centre stage this year for the United Kingdom.

This year’s competition will be the 63rd edition of the annual contest, taking place between May 8 and May 12, 2018.

The first semi-final will be held on May 8, with the second semi-final taking place two days later on May 10. The UK automatically receives a position in the grand-final which is being held and televised on May 12.
