PANDEMIC CAUSES STRUGGLES OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

International students lost their trust in the UK, facing major difficulties in their lifestyles, as the global pandemic struck the UK.

International students decided to pursue their future careers and put their full aspirations and potential to study in the UK. Due to the global pandemic, major issues developed as these students struggle to keep up their lifestyles, such as paying rent and their personal expenses.

They said after they have completed their degree in their home country, they were so determined to pursue a master degree in their choice of course.

They feel disappointed and embarrassed by blaming the country for damaging their reputation, and their hope. Also, they have wasted their years saving money to succeed their future.

ARE THEY WILLING TO GO BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRY?
They are desperately planning to move back to their home country, by which at this circumstance, they cannot because of the COVID travel restrictions.

Stress and tension develop in these students as they have not been able to visit their families back home, especially from those who come from low income backgrounds.

Varun, 27 from Andhra Pradesh, India who is pursuing his master’s degree in cyber security at the university of Bedfordshire, is currently working in a fast food restaurant, as he has been struggling to look for decent jobs when he stepped foot in the UK.

He said that he is almost finished completing his masters, and he is impatient to go back to India, as he is fed up of his lifestyle in the UK, his rough working hours, and how he is managing his time to study. He is disappointed on how he did not have the chance to attend face to face lectures and how much money he has wasted doing online lessons.
