WILDING FOR CENTRAL CEE: WILD WEST OUT NOW

The West London rapper finally releases his long-awaited mixtape.

Including songs such as ‘Day in the Life’ or ‘Pinging (6 Figures)’, the project consists of 14 tracks without a single feature.

Although ‘Wild West’ was set to come out at midnight, the audience could already find the mixtape online a few minutes earlier.

The highly awaited debut is filled with unusual, yet refreshing exotic instrumentals, high background vocals and familiar jazz-infused tunes, bringing a breath of fresh air to the UK drill scene. Pointing at the proven ‘hard work pays off’ quote, he is focusing himself on his career and ‘getting the bag’, mentioning he ‘needs the same watch that Stormzy’s got’ in the single ‘Dun Deal’.

Nevertheless, the Shepperd’s Bush rapper had more surprises up his sleeves for his supporters. Alongside the ‘Commitment Issues’ music video release last month, he dropped visuals for ‘6 for 6’ single that perfectly worked as a teaser for his new mixtape.

Central Cee has proved he is one of the most exciting UK drill artists these days. Surrounded by hip-hop music since the age of eight, he slowly started building his music career by uploading videos on YouTube at the age of 14.

Despite dropping only three singles last year, the 22-year-old has proved the quality over quantity. According to Official Charts Company, his monthly listenership went up 173% in the past three months while ‘Loading’ racked up eight million streams in just six weeks.

He was also announced the first UK Radar artist in 2021. Gaining support from the various artist at home and from abroad music, he clearly shows off his lyrical abilities and proves the heat around him ‘isn’t a coincidence’.

Central Cee is a great example when hard work and maximum level of effort pays off. The emerging artist has already made a massive progress in his career and keeps on expanding further into other industries. For instance, the artists announced a collaboration with clothing label TRAPSTAR London, revealing a limited Wild West collection that teased the upcoming music project.

Let’s wait and see what this West London native has got for us in the future. In the meantime, you can listen to his new mixtape below:
