3 trends to look out for this Hot Girl Summer

First on my summer must-have lists would have to be halter necks…

Halter necked tops have been an essential in my mother’s wardrobe for as long as I remember. Growing up, I always thought it was a bit questionable as to why she always swore by a halter neck for going out for drinks with the girls.

But this summer, I will happily be following in my mother’s footsteps as I am obsessed with the neckline at the moment.

perfect picnic… but if you dress that same halter neck up with your favourite pair of blue jeans and a chunky heel you are ready for a night on the town (in a beer garden of course).

Next up, anything and everything mesh…

The next summer essential is anything that is printed mesh as it has been a huge hit on TikTok so it’s only assumed that they will be the essentials for this summer

I am sure that we have all been a victim to the mesh trend at some point in recent years, but the new abstract printed mesh trend has taken off this spring and will continue on over summer if TikTok has anything to do with it.

I love this take on the classic mesh top as it is the brightest version of the mesh trend that I have seen so far, and I think it will be everywhere this spring/summer as it is already flooding Instagram and TikTok feeds.

Last but certainly not least … the colour green…

Green was easily the colour of last Summer, but I feel like it will definitely make a return again this year.

I am a huge sucker for the colour green and I always have been since I was about 13-years-old when I insisted on painting my entire bedroom green… (I still regret it now 7 years on).

Green has been a trending statement colour since March 2020 and it seems to have become an essential

colour in both Summer and Winter now as it stuck around over the colder months this year as the obsession with sage green built, and now I can happily say that it will be staying for summer 2021 (well if I have anything to do with it).

However, this summer I think it will be a bright green that floods every social media feed as it already seems to be, especially since ZARA released The Green Jeans that everyone is talking about.
