Cadets from different branches in Surrey commemorated Remembrance Day by parading through the streets to St Mary’s Ewell church on Sunday 14th of November.
Cadets from air, police, army, sea, and scouts met on Remembrance Sunday at Ewell station at nine in the morning to begin parading through the streets.
They marched towards St Mary’s Ewell church where the borough’s main Armistice Service was organised by the council and was held as usual at the Clock Tower, Epsom.
This service was attended by the Mayor and Councillors, Royal British Legion, 135 Geographic Squadron Royal Engineers, Surrey Police, various schools and representatives of different faiths.
The two minute silence was marked at this service at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in memory of those who gave their lives for their country.
“It was a beautiful, tranquil service, and I want to thank everyone that was here today to commemorate with us.”
Cadet Warrant Officer Denington said.
The Royal British Legion organised the traditional wreath laying at St Mary’s, Ewell Church. The Mayor attended and laid a wreath on behalf of the borough.
“Under the limited circumstances we had, this year’s remembrance parade was definitely a memorable one.”

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council was proud to be involved in, and to be arranging events, to honour those who have died in the service of their country and to give thanks to all those past and present from the armed forces.
