GALA 2022: Independent South London Festival Announces Hand-Picked Line Up For 2022 Return

Worldwide FM, Rye Wax, Rhythm Section, RedBull, Refuge, Hennessy, Giant Steps, Horse Meat Disco, and Born ‘n’ Bread, are all proud partners of the event

Nestled in a woodland corner of Peckham Rye Park, the GALA Festival is an independent community festival celebrating dance music and club culture.

Launched in 2016, the GALA Festival is renowned for its diversity and inclusiveness. The event brings together established acts alongside local and emerging talent, accompanied by some of the ‘best-loved’ amenities in South London.

The sixth edition of the festival will take place at it’s usual residency in Peckham Rye Park, commencing Thursday 2nd June, not for one, but for three days before coming to an end on Saturday 4th June 2022.

GALA unveiled part one of two, of it’s highly anticipated 2022 hand-picked line-up, and they did not disappoint. Over 30 acts have been confirmed so far including the likes of: Goldie, Ok Williams, Shanti Celeste, Josey Rebelle, Gerd Janson, and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, to name a few.

Born ‘n’ Bread, Giant Steps, and Brilliant Corners’ are kicking things off on the Thursday, dominating two stages, accompanied by a line-up of live jazz acts and musicians. Friday’s takeover will be courtesy of Worldwide FM and Refuge who will be pushing Electronic Dance Music (EDM) from an international perspective, bringing Dj’s from across the EDM spectrum to the forefront. Saturday will see partners Rye Wax, Rhythm Section, and Horse Meat Disco joint forces in a collaborative effort to make the third and final day one of the biggest success stories of 2022.

The GALA Festival and its ‘Here Together’ motto and slogan, is one that support icons, originators and future favourites, making it one the most diverse and inclusive events of the year.
