Student Life: Safety On Campus
We all know by now that being a first year student and studying away from home can be quite scary for some, and it is important to know the Do’s and Dont’s of when it comes to staying safe on and out of campus.
On October 15th, the university was visited by a group of advocates who were promoting the Safe and Security Plan to students. The plan was mainly for first year’s but anyone could get involved. In the Students Union Centre they were handing out free keychains and stationary as a way to spread awareness. I think that this is important as it helps to interest students and get them involved a bit more.
