The homeless are being moved into Hainault modular homes.

Soon homeless people will be moved into temporary housing in a park but the council are still unable to confirm is a full time warden is needed. An exact date is not given to when they will be moved.

60 prefabricated units were completed in woodman Road park in Hainault, earlier in the year and it will be provided for the homeless in the next 10 years for them to live. The Redbridge council have also developed 30 more units in Chigwell road , South Woodford for the homeless and 30 more units in storage to put on site.

Hainault’s housing director says the council is “still finalising it’s positon on the Hainault site”. The local council had to check if it was safe enough for these units by checking if the pollution levels were safe at the South Woodford units , after being found that sealed windows were opened up during the summer.

A young mum told the local Democracy reporting service in August that temperatures as high as 36 was in her unit and it has affected the health of her son .
