My name is Matthew Smith, student, author, jokester. I am a college sophomore from San Antonio Texas. I am currently studying at DePaul University where I have declared a double major in Communications and Political Science, but with the huge privilege of being able to study abroad in London for the 2019 Fall term. 

I Have always been a huge fan of the beautiful game as I began to play when I was about 7 or 8, kicking away in the sweltering south Texas heat. It wasn’t until a little after this time that I began to follow LFC, largely due to the encouragement from my best friend and club teammate to support his favorite club based thousands of miles away. From this point, I fell in love with the Reds and the majesty and connection of the likes of Gerrard and Torres, Suarez, and Sturridge. In my later teens following football and the endless cycle of news, speculation, and surprises that are intrinsic to the media portion of the game has diverted many hours from my academic pursuits. However, the hope is that derivation from what I should have been doing ultimately creates a greater experience for you, the reader. From one casual (yet endlessly committed) fan to another I wish you the very best time here.
