Southwark was shining because of Diwali’s celebrations

On the 7th of November Southwark was shining because of the fireworks there, these celebrations took place in London and other countries as well. People were happy celebrating, eating and wishing each other happy and peaceful year.

However, Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn. It is not celebrated only in India because indian people celebrate Diwali wherever they are. This popular festival symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated.

In addition, it was another celebration, which was the main celebration it was called “Diwali festival”. This festival took place in Trafalgar Square on the 28th of October it started at 13:00 and ended at 19:00. It included performances, children’s activities and dance workshops.
