In the morning session with Michael we began looking at facts and statistics and the ways that publications and companies pick the data that they want to use according to the idea they want to portray.
We looked at averages, medians, means and modes and how they can be used to manipulate different datasets. We also had a look into percentages, percentage points and the differences between the two. Depending on which we use, the result can be extremely different.
The afternoon session led by LJ then started with a look into infographics and the components of a good infographic. Each table were given a printed out infographic and were to identify and discuss the different aspects of the poster.
